Soooo, I've had this desk for years now. I've always loved its shape and have appreciated its natural wood tone, however, it was time for a change.
I wanted a light colored paint so off to Wal-Mart I went. And not being one of those full price shoppers I headed straight to the mis-tented section and found the PERFECT color!
So as you see, the base color is a very pale light blue. The drawers I decoupaged with scrapbook paper finished off with stainless steel colored drawer pulls.
Now the desk top was super easy and actually a new experiment that turned out fabulous.
All I did was squeeze about 4 different shades of blue craft paint onto the top and used a paint brush roller to smooth it out. It created such a cool dimension and took all of about 5 minutes!
Finish off with a coat of glossy spray paint and the makeover is complete! ;)
